Reported from Lobster Bay, Cape D'Aguilar (Ref. 33067). Also reported from Hoi Ha Wan (Ref. 94637, 119713); and Tung Ping Chau (Ref. 125586). Juveniles were recorded from Lai Chi Chong (Ref. 125536). The species was observed on 11 to 100 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). Sold in live fish markets (Ref. 125552). Commonly consumed in Hong Kong (Ref. 125589).
